Hunt Groups are a great way of making sure your call goes to the right department, overflowing calls to another location, or having calls wait in a queue.

The settings available allow you to select a SITE, give the group a specific NAME, give the group a NUMBER, choose the TYPE of group:-

Circular rings the extensions one at a time,

First Idle - first available extension,

Longest Idle - extension that has been idle the longest,

Multi - All extensions ring at once.

The Ring to Busy Member setting should be set to USED, along with the Group No Answer policy.

You can give a group it's own DDI (telephone number), select an unused number from the dropdown menu.

You can select specific time schedules for groups to follow, if certain departments are open at different times.

you can send an answer signal when an announcement call is played, to let a system know the call has been answered.

Once you have set the group setting above,  you need to add MEMBERS.

If you click the CHANGE button below the member table, you can select members from the right using the tick boxes.

If you click the < button, members will move to the left. Follow the same process with > to remove members.

click SAVE to apply your changes.

You can set the call forwarding behaviour to suit your needs. See the image below for an example:-

Not used = Off

Used = On

All Members Busy/Unregistered: If all extensions are busy or not logged in (to soft phones)

No Answer: If a call is unanswered

Queueing Overflow/No Answer: Routing queued calls to another department if still unanswered after a certain time.

You choose the destination, which can be an extension, group, auto attendant or external landline/mobile number.

You can set a hunt group to play a greeting to let people know they are going to be placed in a queue. You select the file and specify it's length.

You can set up a hunt group to make an announcement to let people know they are in a call queue and to continue to hold. You can specify the file and it's length.

Click SAVE after any changes are made, and then point to the new group from a scenario, DDI or divert from another group.
